Bamboo here ! Many of you maybe wondering, who is Bamboo ?
Well, I'm originally from a small island in Malaysia called Penang. Though it is an island, we are blessed with many different cuisines along with our very own local delicacies. Panda and I first met when I moved to Ontario, Canada not long ago. Unlike Asia where many different blog reviews about places to eat at are available, it was hard to find any blog reviews on the food in the K-W region aside from Yelp. So, Panda and I decided to start a food blog to share reviews on places that we have been. Come along on our food adventures. :)
Curiosity may have hit you. What is Penang food like ? Well, it's the cuisine of multicultural races in Penang ( I just got that off Wikipedia xD) .

我其實是來自馬來西亞的一個叫檳城的島。我們有各種各樣超好吃的本地美食。我和Panda 是在我不久之前到加拿大唸書的時候認識的。在亞洲,網絡上有超多介紹美食的部落格。相反的,在加拿大除了Yelp之外,都很少會找到美食部落格。我和Panda就決定開格部落格,介紹我們在Waterloo 和 Kitchener 所去過的餐館。希望大家會喜歡!
你們可能會好奇,檳城的食物是怎樣的呢?
This is called the "Roti Tisu". A thin layer of roti drizzled with the irresistable condensed milk.
這是“Roti Tisu" 是有一層搓得非常薄的麵粉烤脆了之後再灑上煉奶。
And of course, we are well known for being the home of the King of Fruits a.k.a "Durian"
當然,榴蓮也是我們檳島的特色之一。
"Ice Kacang" to quench the thirst during the hot and humid days.
“Ice Kacang" 是我們檳島版本的剉冰。

"Loh Bak" 滷肉 - Guilty pleasures.
A traditional Penangite breakfast - Toast. Pair it with a cuppa "Kopi O" and half boiled eggs. Life is complete.
在檳城最傳統的早餐,就是烤麵包,再配上一杯黑咖啡和半熟蛋。
"Satay" - which is actually chicken skewers.
